Eivannon will be our speech recognition API. As usual, it will be free to any home and DIY folks for small projects and usage. There will be two flavors, online and offline. The online version will have a bigger, slightly more accurate recognition base, hosted by Hyvernion. The offline will be a downloadable Python module with a wide enough base to be accurate, functional, practical and able to run on even a Raspberry Pi with ease.

Adax's Interface uses the offline version and has been in use for some time and very well tested. The recognition accuracy is comparable to any other service out there. Eivannon will be available, hopefully soon. There is no ETA as of right now as we are focusing on getting Adax to the masses. Once we have Adax polished we can work on this API.

We have created an Alpha version of the server and it worked great! We thought about using it for the Interface but decided we needed, or was it wanted, Adax to be able to be used offline as much as possible and it was believed the speech recognition component was a good start.

The + in speech+ recognition will be its ability to recognize voices as well. Not to mention being able to recognize how distant a sound is.
